The only thing criticizers should understand is that the squad should be balanced. Asela Gunarathne was selected for the seam bowling all-rounder role of Angelo. But Asela’s bowling at test level was no where. so comparing him with a genuine seamer is an absolute hoax. Yes he did something with the bat . But there are 8 batsmen in the squad. Including another batsman will not help at all . Both Tharanga & Kusal may not have a chance to play (depending on the warm- up game the batting combination may change) . The only thing that worried me is the inconsistency of selecting young fast bowlers. They brought Vishwa Fernado against Aussies & he was disappeared after that. Fortunately Lahiru Kumara is still there
