NCC opener sandun weerakkody will join the Sri Lanka team for the rest of the south africa tour. He will replace danushka gunathilika, who got injured in a practice match and didn’t play in any of the twenty-20 match.
Sandun, 23 , has been a prolific run scorer in the ongoing domestic season for NCC, smashed two centuries n two half centuries. Interestingly, for NCC, he opens the batting alongside Sri Lanka current opener Niroshan Dickwela, and if included in the playing eleven, he is expected to do the same for the national team.
