We don’t look at dressing room for DRS, says furious Kohli

Even as Australian captain Steve Smith appolised for his unsporty behavior, for looking towards dressing room for the hint, on his LBW verdict, India skipper Virat Kohli is in no mood to forgive his rival captain, and claimed that this was not the first time the Australians had sought dressing room instructions on DRS calls.

“We have been inconsistent with the DRS but we take our decisions on the field, we don’t ask for confirmation from the dressing room,” a furious Kohli attacked after India’s 75-run win in the second Test here.

Asked if he was accusing the Australian team of cheating, Kohli retorted, “I have not said that either.”

It all started in Bangalore when Umesh Yadav trapped Steve Smith dead in front in the 20th over of Australia’s second innings. However, before walking off, Steve Smith in the process of asking Handscomb whether he should review it, also seemed to be seeking guidance from the dressing room. Initially Smith didn’t look keen on the review. But then he was looking at the dressing room to try and figure out if he needs to go for the review.

The delivery didn’t rise as it landed on a fuller length and just scooted on to smack Smith plumb in front of his wickets. He knew it rightaway, but wanted to take his chances. Had he gone for a reveiew he would have been out.
