Over the years Mushfiqur has been involved in a whole set of controversies, and his on and off field attitude has always put him into trouble. Yesterday, on the second day of second test match against Sri Lanka at P. Sara Oval, he once again showed a very bad example of sportsmanship, and this too on the historic occasion, as his team is playing 100th test of their history.
The incident happened in the 111th over the innings when the no 11 batsmen Sandakan flicked a ball straight into the basket of the short in fielder, with the fielder visibly in pain. Sandakan, courtesy sake went to apologise to the short in fielder before being pushed aside by the wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. Rahim forcefully pushed Sandakan, who was just apologising and checking if the short in fielder was fine.
This has created an outrage among the Facebook users, where people started branding him as a “no-brainer”.
