Team India’s star batsman Cheteshwar Pujara on Sunday added another feather to his illustrious Test career, as he broke the Indian record of facing the maximum balls in a Test innings.
He broke the record of legendary Rahul Dravid, who had faced a marathon 495 balls during his knock of 270 against Pakistan in Rawalpindi in 2004. Pujara faced 525 balls during his innings of 202 runs, third double century of his career. Former England cricketer Len Hutton’s 364 off 847 balls against Australia in 1938 is the longest Test innings.
