In a big blow to Sri Lanka, their in form opener Niroshan Dickwela, will miss the rest of the ODI’s and the T20 series due to a fractured Finger and, most probably, out of the action for at least two weeks.
Though, he didn’t play in the first ODI either, because of suspension from the ICC, Dickwela had been in prime form in last few months, on the tours of South Africa and Australia. he was particularly devastating in the shorter formats, won the man of series award in t20 series against Australia.
Indeed, it is a big setback for Sri Lanka, as they are already trailing the three match series 1-0. More importantly, another opener Kusal Perera, who was in blistering form in domestic matches, has also been out of the team, due to an injury. Second match of the series will be played on tomorrow, at the same venue Dambulla.
