West Indies successfully chased a target of more than 300 for the first time when Jason Mohammed hit an undefeated 91 in a thrilling four-wicket win over Pakistan in the opening ODI.
Set 309 to win, West Indies reached the target with one over to spare in the first of a three-game series at the National Stadium in Guyana yesterday.
Earlier, Pakistan had posted a mammoth total of 308-5, as Mohammad Hafeez top-scoring with 88 and Shoaib Malik (53) and Ahmed Shehzad also contributing half-centuries (67).
