Mumbai Indians’ star all-rounder Kieron Pollard has slammed commentator Sanjay Manjrekar for calling him ‘brainless’ during match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 179, Pollard came out to bat at one down, but could only add 17 runs to the MI’s chase and was dismissed by Chris Woakes.
Commentating on Pollard’s early dismissal, the former India cricketer said: “Pollard does not have the brains to play early in the innings.”
In the response, after the match, Pollard wrote:
“@sanjaymanjrekar u feel any positive can come out of your mouth bcuz u get pay to talk u can continue with your verbal diarrhea ..”
Mumbai Indians next play defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in their third clash of the season at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
