The owner of IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore Vijay Mallya arrested in London, could be heading India soon. India had given a formal extradition request for Mallya, as per the tie ups between India and UK, On February 8.
Mallya, whose Kingfisher airlines owes more than 9 thousands crores to various banks, had fled India on March 2016. He has been declared Defaulter by Indian government.
Mallya has been charged with cheating and conspiracy by the CBI that filed a 1,000 page chargesheet against him for defaulting on a 900 crore loan taken from the IDBI bank in 2009.
