Team India’s all-rounder Irfan Pathan is back in the IPL, as he has been signed by Gujarat Lions. The frenchaise will be the sixth IPL team, which Irfan Pathan will represent. Irfan Pathan who went unsold in the 2017 IPL auctions has been snapped up by Gujarat Lions as a replacement of Dwayne Bravo. Bravo was crucial to the Gujarat Lions set-up, but was ruled out of the tournament with a hamstring injury. Gujarat have now acted quickly upon this news and have signed up Irfan Pathan as his replacement. The news was announced by Irfan Pathan himself on Twitter, where he posed with a Gujarat Lions jersey and wrote, “looking forward to be part of this wonderful unit.”
Once a super star of Indian Cricket, his career has been stalled, due to injuries, lack of form and emergence of allrounders like Hardik Pandya. Now, as he got another chance, and most probably final, he needs to grab it and show the world of what he is capable of.
