Weakened BCCI taught many lessons in recent months and saw the real face of other cricket playing nations. Though, BCCI and SLC always has had cordial relations, but during the recent tussle with the ICC, both cricket board came much closer.
“SLC stood firmly with the BCCI, when they were fighting with the ICC for greater revenue. Actually, Sri Lanka cricket board was the only, who supported BCCI unconditionally” a top official revealed to Cricket Age.
Thilanga Sumathipala, the SLC president, not only offered unconditional support, but also tried his best to convince other countries that supporting BCCI is good for the world cricket in long term.
So, now, it’s a obvious thinking within the BCCI, that Sri Lanka cricket must get maximum benefits from India.
” Now, you will see more bilateral series between the two nations and team India will also visit Sri Lanka more offten” he revealed.
