Today, indeed, is one of the greatest day in the Sri Lanka cricket history, as their most beloved son legendary Muttiah Muralitharan has officially inducted into ICC hall of fame, during the match between India and Sri Lanka at Oval.
Murali became the first ever Sri Lanka cricketer to achieve this glory. Murali wife Madhimalar, his FOG co-founder, and also the manager of the legendary bowler for last 17 years, Kushil Gunasekara were also present at the Oval, along side Murali’s best friend Kumar Sangakkara.
Unarguably, the greatest bowler of the cricket history, Murali has 800 test and 534 ODI wickets to his name.
