19 year old allrounder Wanidu Hasaranga scripted a remarkable turnaround for Sri Lanka in the second ODI against Zimbabwe, with a hat trick on debut.
He became only the third bowler in the history of the ODI cricket, after Kasigo Rabada and Taijul Islam, to claim a hat trick on debut.
Even though, captain Angelo Mathews introduced Hasaranga only after Zimbabwe were five down, but the leg spinner immediately impressed with his immense talent as a bowler. His last two deliveries were magical googlies, as he wrapped up Zimbabwe tail in no time.
He also became the third youngest bowler to take a ODI hat trick after Pakistani duo Saqlain Mushtaq and Aaqib Javed.
Moreover, he looks a complete package. He has a very fast googly, very similar to Rashid Khan, which is very hard to pick. Surely, he will fox world’s best batsmen in years to come.
