The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) picked Ravi Shastri as the new India head coach, but former India cricketer Sandeep Patil reckons that they are not the right people to pick the coach as neither Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly nor VVS Laxman have coaching experience.
“I wouldn’t even call it warped. I’d say it’s all wrong,” Patil told to a prominent news papar in india. “Sachin, Sourav and Laxman are absolute legends as players and have done great things for the country, but none of them have coached a team. Do coaches pick umpires and vice-versa?”
