In a routine “money wasting exercise, SLC president Thilanga Sumathipala has invited all the admistrators and coaches to a posh hotel Move and Pick, Kolupitiya, in Colombo, to mourn the series of loses, Sri Lanka team has been facing. Interestingly, the Sri Lanka team is also staying at the same hotel.
The first meeting started at 10.30 AM today, where the series loss to India will be discussed. Another round of the meeting will be held at 2.30 PM, where all the coaches related to SLC, Will also be present.
Strange thing in this gathering, is that the headquarter of SLC at SSC, is just two kilometers away from the hotel. And as the test match has also finished, so the SLC could have easily arranged the meeting at the boardroom of the SSC.
Instead, SLC has booked two halls for over 75 peoples at one of the most expensive hotel of Colombo. From every prospective, it seems a exercise of wasting money!
