Sri Lanka world cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga seems on a mission to ouster Thilanga Sumathipala from the Sri Lanka Cricket forever! Today, he engaged in a ugly fight with sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara over the sorry status of the nation’s most popular Sports.
During today’s cabinet meeting, there was Heated arguments exchanged between Ranatunga and Dayasiri over the Cricket.
Just yesterday, Ranatunga had written a letter to the President and prime minister of the country, to save the game. In the letter, he accused Sumathipala for destroying the game and questioned his intentions, by mentioning that Sumathipala comes from a family, that involves in betting and gambling business.
Meanwhile, Dayasiri, a supporter of Sumathipala, have been publically ruled out the possibility of sacking the SLC.
