Shocking! SLC yet to circulate constitution copy to sports minister

Written by Rohit Pawar

In order to remain in the power at any cost at SLC, it seems that they have deliberately committed a serious breach of conduct, regarding the constitution of the board. Cricket Age has reliably learnt that SLC has not circulated SLC constitution, with amendments to either the Sports Minister or the stake holders, till date.

The SLC made amendments to certain clauses to SLC’s constitution last December 2016. It also recently held its annual meeting to present the financial statement of accounts which is mandatory and need to be presented every year.

However the SLC’s Annual General Meeting need to be held every two years and should be done prior to 31st March, unless due to a valid reason it can be deferred for a short period after obtaining the Sports Ministers consent.

So far the copy of the SLC’s constitution has not been circulated with the recent amendments that was ratified at a SGM that was held prior to the Financial Annual report in June 2017.

It is time that the flagging administration must take steps to ensure that the Constitution is circulated timely to the stake holders of SLC.
