The new set of selectors will be announced on 18th September and there is no final decision yet on Graeme Labrooy as the next Chief selector, Cricket Age has learnt.
“The new Selection Committee will be decided and anounced on the 18th September 2017, and will announce the Test Squad for the tour against Pakistan on the 20th September 2017” told a top official of SLC.
“He was one of about 15 of those approached, but has not given a word yet, decision will be made after the 15th meeting” top official told about Graeme Labrooy.
Earlier, there were reports that former fast bowler Graeme Labrooy could be Sri Lanka new Chairman of the selection committee, the post vacated by Sanath Jayasuriya.
Sri Lanka will travel to UAE later this month to play three test, five ODI’s and three t20 matches against Pakistan.
