Thisara Perera, the dashing Sri Lankan allrounder, broke millions of Pakistani’s heart with his brutal hitting during the second match of independence Cup, as he single handedly won the match for his team World XI.
Walking in with his team needing 69 off the last six overs, Perera walloped five sixes in an unbeaten 19-balls 47 to complete seven wicket win.
But, as international cricket has returned after nine years in the country, even Pakistani fans enjoyed the raining sixes of Perera’s bat.
So much, that some fans even offered a interesting deal with Sri Lankan fans!
“Please Sri Lankans if u r not happy with Perera, than exchange him with Ahmad Shehzad and get free Sohail Khan too” wrote a Pakistani fan Umar Aftab Kiani on his FB wall.
Perera was man of the match in the second match, for his allround show. While, Ahmad Shehzad was one of the least popular player in the history of Pakistan Cricket!
On Twitter as well, Pakistani fans praised Perera with glowing tributes.
