Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has added Sajith Fernando to the National selection committee. Headed by Graeme Labrooy, now new selection committee comprise five members.
Cricket Age has confirmed earlier that Gamini Wickramasinghe, Jerry Wouterz and Asanka Gurusinha would be the other members of the committee.
Fernando, a former first class cricketer, has played 193 FC matches between 1993-2012.
One of the finest left handed batsman of his time, he considered unlucky from that ‘lost generation’ where he couldn’t make it to national team due to the settled top order.
