Episode One : To consider the appeals in controversial Panadura-Kalutara fiasco, SLC has appointed three member committee. The committee members comprise Samantha Dodanwala, Oshara Pandithraratne and Channa Weerakkody.
Episode Two : In another move, Sports Ministry has appointed a three member panel to implement a certain report. Former SLC chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya and former captains Anura Tennekoon and Aravinda De Silva will form the panel.
These are amongst some of the most prominent names in Sri Lanka Cricket. More than that, they are synonymous of honesty and truth.
Now, Thilanga Sumathipala, the troublesome president of SLC, has invited all of them in helping to clean his Image!
The moto is quite simple : to convince Sri Lanka cricket supporters that these iconic figures are with SLC!
At Water’s Edge, Sumathipala invited entire nation! But, very few prominent former players bother to participated!
More notably, at Water’s Edge, during the brainstorming session itself, Sumathipala openly invited Aravinda De Silva to grace the post of VP at SLC. but, De Silva cold shouldered the offer!
So now, he returned via a panel! Sumathipala knows, De Silva is the most iconic former player, he has in his armory!
So now, time has come to make him the face of SLC!
This time though, Sumathipala also gave him a resemble supporting star cast, featuring the likes of Hemaka Amarasuriya, Anura Tenekoon!
