No surprise, fans drew comparison of his batting style with Legendary Mahela Jayawardene.
But, Mahela was more worried about youngster first innings, as he wanted from Sadeera to make it big, as he got of to a flying start. So, when A Prominent person and true sporter of Sri Lanka cricket shown his excitement by watching Sadeera batting, Mahela also expressed his anxiety.
“Great positive start from debutant Sadeera Samarawickrama, batting style similar to former great @MahelaJay #PAKvSL #Cricket” wrote Azam Ameen, The BBC Sinhala Correspondent.
“Don’t jinx the batsman..🙊” Mahela didn’t take too much time to express his thoughts.
Though, Sadeera couldn’t make it big, as he dismissed after a entertaining t20 style 38 runs of only 35 balls, but his innings gave an indication he is going to be a next big thing in Sri Lanka cricket!
