Australia finally defeated India in the second t20 at Guwahati yesterday, and with the win David Warner-led side have made sure that the series will be decided in Hyderabad on Friday in the third T20I. It was a clinical display by Australian team as first they restricted team India on a below par score of 118 and then achieved the target with almost five overs to spare.
However, the game was jolted by an ugly controversy, as the bus carrying the Australian team to the hotel was attacked by unknown people who threw stones.
Australia’s opening batsman Aaron Finch posted about the incident on his twitter handle, and it is revealed that something was thrown into the Australian team bus which shattered one of the windows.
“Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!” posted Australian opener Aaron Finch about the incident.
Cricket Australia’s news site cricket.com.au said no-one was hurt and nobody was sitting in the seat next to the window when it was broken by the rock “believed to be roughly the size of a cricket ball”.
But the website added that the Australian players were “understandably shaken up by the incident”.
