Team India’s offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin cleared the ‘yo-yo fitness test’, which is benchmark to make the cut to the Indian team. Ashwin is not a part of Virat Kohli’s team India that is hosting Australia at home because he was completing his County assignments for Worcestershire.
After passing the test, Ashwin let the world know via Twitter.
“Been a good trip to Bangalore, yo yo test done and dusted. Now #backtothegrind #RanjiTrophy2017 #teamtamilnadu,” Ashwin wrote.
Earlier in the year, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina, along with Amith Mishra had failed the similar test and hence could not make it to team India. While MS Dhoni, on whom there were questions, made it to team India on the back of clearing the ‘Yo-yo’ test.
