Sri Lanka cricket board has revised the suspension imposed on Dhanushka Gunathilaka upon consideration of the appeal made on behalf of Gunathilaka by the Sinhalese Sports Club, Cricket Age has learnt. Now, the suspension is reduced for three match only, thus he will be available for the selection from for the fourth and fifth match of the ongoing ODI series against Pakistan.
Gunathilaka was served a 6 International match suspension and imposed a fine of 20% of his Annual Contract fee having been found in breach of Section 30 of the SLC Constitution and several terms of his contract.
Now he serve a suspension of 3 International matches, instead of 6, and be fined 20% of his Annual Contract fee.
Sri Lanka already lost first two matches of the ODI series, largely due to poor batting in both games.
