Team India’s discarded allrounder Yuvraj Singh will have to face another problem, as he has been booked for domestic violence by sister-in-law Akanksha, who was a contestant on last year’s Bigg Boss show. Akanksha has filed a domestic violence case against her in-laws including Yuvraj, mother-in-law Shabnam and husband Zorawar.
According to Spotboye, Akanksha’s lawyer Swati Singh Malik confirmed the news. “Yes, Akanksha has filed a case of domestic violence against Yuvraj, her husband Zoravar and their mother Shabnam,” Malik was quoted as saying by the website.
Explaining Yuvraj’s involvement in the alleged ‘domestic violence, the lawyer said that the Indian cricketer was a mute spectator in the ‘crime’.
“Look, domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. He (Yuvraj) was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother,” the lawyer said.
“When Yuvraj and Zoravar’s mother was pressurising Akanksha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told Akanksha ‘to have a baby’. He was hand-in-glove with his mother,” Malik further revealed.
“Yuvraj would even tell Akanksha that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house,” she added, “Really, that lady is extremely dominant. Zoravar and Akanksha were at her mercy for every decision.
“Yuvraj even told Akanksha that if she does not toe the line then she has no place in that house,” Malik concluded.
