Team India’s captain Virat Kohli will skip the third test match against Sri Lanka, as well as three ODIs and three T20Is, to be played in December.
Earlier today, there were reports that Kohli would miss the test series against Sri Lanka, but despite speculation Kohli has decided to play New Zealand leg and the first two tests against Sri Lanka, starting November 16. The first two tests against Sri Lanka are to be held in Kolkata and Nagpur.
However, he won’t be available for the third test to be played in Delhi and ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka.
“Most probably Kohli will be rested for the final test and the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka, which are slated in December, as he requested BCCI to be fully fresh and energetic before the tough tour of South Africa” A top BCCI Official told Cricket Age.
Sri Lanka to play three ODI match series on 10th, 13th and 17 December at Dharamsala, Mohali and Vishakhapatanam respectively. The three match t20 series will be played from 20 December in Cuttack.
