As Sri Lanka slumped to third whitewash of the year, as 5-0 drubbing against Pakistan, Team supporters and ex-players expressed their disappointment, largely on Twitter.
Former Cricketers Russel Arnold, Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi were particularly worried with Sri Lanka disastrous run in ODI cricket.
However, one particular tweet from Sri Lanka test Opener Dimuth Karunaratne didn’t go well with already hurted fans.
As Pakistani fast bowler Usman Khan rattled Sri Lanka top order within four overs, Karunaratne posted a congratulatory tweet for The young bowling sensation.
“5 Wicket form 20 Balls… Phenomenal bowling from Usman Khan with new ball..Congrats for your 1st 5 wicket haul 👏👏👏 #SLvsPAK” posted Karunaratne on his Twitter handle.
Obviously, Sri Lanka fans irked by Karunaratne tweet, as they expressed amaze over the tweet.
