Even though Pakistan sealed a sensational two-wicket win in the second Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi on Friday, the Ultra-Agrresive Captaincy of Thisara Perera caught the attention of Cricket Fans and Critics alike.
Not only aggressive, He was tactical also in the match. During Sri Lanka batting, the choice of batsmen after the fall of the wicket was particularly impressive. After Gunathilika perished, Seekuge Prasanna came to bat and it was an aggressive move given his six hitting abilities, even though he couldn’t do something special yesterday. Then he promoted himself, followed by Dasun Shanaka, Isuru Udana. Intentions were loud and clear : to capitalize the foundation Gunathilika- Samarawickrama provided.
Defending a target of 124, Sri Lanka were, once again, electric in the field and Thisara Perera was shrewd in his field placings and bowling changes. Moreover, he lead by the example, grabbed 3-24 in his four overs to leave Pakistan in a spot of bother.
No Surprise, Cricket Experts and Fans loved the new version of Sri Lanka team, under the captaincy of Perera.
