Pakistan is once again ready to host Sri Lanka in an international match. The Sri Lanka team has arrived in Lahore and the third T20I will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, today.
The contest will see the return of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, eight years after their team bus was ambushed by gunmen on the way to the ground in Lahore on March 3, 2009.
The attacks, which killed eight people and left seven Sri Lankan players and a staff member injured, resulted in the suspension of all international cricket in Pakistan, forcing them to play home matches in the United Arab Emirates.
Obviously, The Pakistan Cricket Board want to show to the Cricket World that their country is not unsafe anymore for international cricket. Thus, a presidential level security has been provided to Sri Lanka team.
Saj Fernando, One of the Selector who is arrived Lahore with the team, has posted on a social site that PCB has provided over 10,000 Military personnel only for the team security.
