One of the cleanest striker of cricket ball, David Miller made the opportunity count when South Africa were three wickets down in the second T20I against Bangladesh. Miller went on to score the fastest century in T20Is in just 35 balls. In blistering knock, Miller struck 7 fours and 9 sixes. He scored at a whopping strike rate of 280.66 in his record-breaking innings.
His impact was such in the innings that he eclipsed Hashim Amla’s innings of 85 fruns from 51 balls. Miller broke South African batsman Richard Levi’s record of fastest T20I century from 45 balls against New Zealand in 2012.
With Miller show, South Africa scored a mammoth target of 224 for 4 in 20 overs. This is Miller’s maiden T20I century. He has pulled off a similar effort in Indian Premier League (IPL) as well playing for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Mohali in 2013.
Nicknamed as ‘Killer-Miller’, he scored his IPL century in just 38 balls.
