As if the embarrassing batting performance in the ongoing first test against Sri Lanka on a greenish Eden Gardens Pitch is not enough, another Green Top is waiting for team India. The first ODI between two sides, scheduled to be played at Dharamsala On December 10, is known for its seam and bounce.
Indian batting, considers best in the world, surrendered meekly against Sri Lanka fast bowlers led by sensational Suranga Lakmal.
Even though the BCCI clarified that The greenish pitch at Eden Garden has been deliberately prepared to suit fast bowling, there is no denying that the weaknesses of world’s best batting line up has been thoroughly exposed.
However, According to the sources the HPCA Dharamsala pitch will be more greenish than the Eden Gardens.
“This is the winter time in India and as the Dharamsala Stadium is surrounded by Snow -Capped Himalayan Mountains, the conditions will be perfect for seam bowling” a HPCA source revealed to Cricket Age.
The picturesque venue is unique in India, as it is situated at an altitude of 1457 m above the sea level and Himalayan mountains in the background.
