Allrounder Asela Gunaratne and Dhananjaya De Silva have returned for the three match ODI Series against India, while Dasun Shanaka and Jeffrey Vandersay are not part of the squad, Cricket Age learns.
Asela, the most consistent performer performer for Sri Lanka in last two years in the all formats of the game, hasn’t played since August, when he sustained hand injury during the first test against India.
There are lot of media reports, that including Allrounder Dasun Shanaka and Jeffrey Vandersay in the squad. Cricket Age, however, learns that both are not the part of the ODI team, though both are in India currently, as part of test squad.
According to sources, in place of Dasun Shanaka, Dhananjaya De Silva has been included in the squad.
