Dayasiri Jayasekara, the Sports Minister of Sri Lanka, has shown his disappointment over the SLC madness on Monday night, when nine players of the ODI squad had to return from the airport in bizzare circumstances, Cricket Age learns.
According to sources, Jayasekara says he was only given few hours to approve the team.
“How can I approve a team at such short notice?”, Dayasiri said.
According to reliable sources, on Monday, around 8.30 PM, Ashley De Silva, CEO of SLC, sent the 9 players of ODI team to Airport.
However, Sports Minister Dayasiri jayasekara had got the squad at 5.15 PM yesterday, so logically he said that he needs to meet selectors and captain to discuss before approving.
Sri Lanka team to play three ODIs and as many as T20I against India. The three match ODI series will be starting on 10th December, but team has still not been announced officially.
