Lasith Malinga will return to Sri Lanka T20 squad for the three match series against India later this month, Cricket Age learns.
Malinga last played for Sri Lanka in September in the one off T20I against India, at home. However, he didn’t go to Lahore for the T20 match against Pakistan, due to security concerns.
Selectors didn’t pick him for the ODI Series, but it has understood that Labrooy and Co is determined to give him chances in this format.
Known for his toe crushing Yorker’s, Malinga’s bowling form has declined considerably in last Six months, and it was the main reason of his ouster from the ODI team.
Sri Lanka to play three T20Is against India. The first match will be played at Cuttack on December 20.
