Parish Shetty, who had been associated with Bangladesh till recently, Will be Sri Lanka’s Analyst for the upcoming Bangladesh tour, Cricket Age learns. It means SLC has decided to completely dumped Sriram Somayajula after keeping him unfairly in wilderness for three months, that to without pay.
Sriram was with Sri Lanka team till India Series in August-September. However, he was ignored for the Sri Lanka tour of UAE for the Pakistan series, on the lines of so called rotation policy.
Pathetically, later, he was forced to go for a leave without pay as his letters to SLCs comical CEO Ashley De Silva are being ignored.
Now, as soon as Chandika Hathurusingha arrived as Sri Lanka Head Coach, he has also brought his favorite Parish Shetty into the setup as well. Shetty was under Hathurusingha’s wings during his Bangladesh tenure.
However, the appointment of Parish is a joke and a classic example of unprofessionalism from SLC, as Sriram has a contract till July 2019. Again and again, by forcing coaching to parted ways staff midway through, SLC has proved how notoriously they are functioning.
