As Sri Lanka faced another embarrassing defeat in the ongoing tri series, this time against host Bangladesh by a big margin of 163 runs, stand in captain Dinesh Chandimal expressed his concern over the continues poor show.
“Actually, we are really disappointed with our performance. In ODI cricket, we are going through a rough patch” he said during the post match presentation.
After having won the toss, Bangladesh posted a mammoth total of 320, as Almost all the batsmen played their part.
“Bangladesh played outstanding cricket, credit to them. It is tough to come out of this” he added.
Sri Lanka were without their regular captain Angelo Mathews, as he has been ruled out of at least one more match, due to yet another hamstring injury.
“Due to injuries, it’s tough to keep XI. If we win one, we can get things in place. Still we have a chance, and we are in the tournament” he concluded.
