Team India has been in South Africa since the beginning of the year and it seems that the two-month-long tour has left the players in a bit of a homesick state.
Shikhar Dhawan, who is in Prime form throughout the tour, took to his Twitter page to share a heartwarming post for his family, on Tuesday.
“Only when u spend so much time away from fmly, u realize hw much u actually miss them!I miss spending time with my kids, playing with them, cooking and being there for them. Also miss the Mrs like crazy!Want 2 spend quality time with her once I go back.luv u all to d moon & back!” wrote Dhawan as he shared a few photographs of his family as well.
Dhawan has been a vital cog in India’s run to a historic 5-1 victory over South Africa in the six-match ODI series, marking their first bilateral series win on Proteas soil. His runs in the ODI series aggregated to 323 at an average of 64.60.
After losing the Test series 1-2, India bounced back to dominate the South African side in the ODIs and scalp a 5-1 win. The Men in Blue are currently 1-0 up in the three-match T20I series and will be aiming to wrap up the tour with victory in the last leg of the tour.
