Glenn Maxwell is set to take his place in Australia’s Twenty20 side for a one-off match against England at Edgbaston on Wednesday night.
Maxwell had missed the last two matches of Australia’s 5-0 ODI series defeat to England after injuring his shoulder diving in the field at Trent Bridge.
However, the Victorian came through the squad’s training session at Edgbaston on Tuesday afternoon to prove his fitness and took part in the range-hitting session that saw several Aussie batsmen pepper the Edgbaston grandstand with big hits.
Australia enter this series with a six-game winning streak in T20 cricket, having twice beaten England on their way to triumph in February’s tri-series that also featured New Zealand.
