Over the years, Sumathi Teledrama Award Ceremony has become one of the most talked about event in Sri Lanka TV industry, as it belongs to Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) former President Thilanga Sumathipala.
Sumathi Awards facilitates celebrities from the TV industry every year for their outstanding work.
This year, the award ceremony held on August 29 and some of the closest and faithful associates of Sumathipala at the SLC graced the occasion.
Hashan Tillakaratne, former Sri Lanka player and current U19 coach who got the job with the blessings of Sumathipala (without following any procedure), was present at the award ceremony with his wife Apsari.
Apsari, women’s team coordinator (without any experience and success), later posted the invitation card of the ceremony to her Facebook account as well.
Apart from Tillakaratne’s, few other SLC employee’s also graced the occasion.
