Former England skipper Alastair Cook is playing the last Test match of his career and on the occasion, he is receiving wishes from his teammates and fans. James Anderon, a longtime teammate of Cook, also had a special wish for his former skipper.
“Congratulations mate, it’s been a right laugh. Well done pal. That’ll do. Don’t even like the bloke anyway. All he bangs on about is farming this, farming that. It’s lambing season. Who cares mate? Bore off. He should have retired two years ago,” he said after he was done with his message. Anderson pretended that he didn’t know that camera was on but in reality, he always knew that his words were being recorded.
Cook played an innings of 71 in England’s first innings in the fifth and the final Test of the series. In all probability, he will have a get a chance to bat in the second innings and Cook would eye an elusive century in the final innings of his Test career.
