As there is no functioning cricket board at Maitland place, Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) CEO Ashley De Silva and COO Jerome Jayarathne are making sure all their priorities must be fulfilled. In addition to buy luxury vehicles and increments for themselves, in last few months, Ashley and Jerome have transferred many of SLC employees, whom they don’t like, without giving any proper reason
In the latest episode, Jerome Jayarathne and SLC Media manager Prasanna Rodrigo have conspired against three employees and removed and transferred them without giving any explanation.
According to sources, Jerome and Prasanna manipulated things against media assistant Chanaka De Silva and transferred him into provincial system without giving any explanation. In addition, they have also removed two copy writers Sriyan Obeysekara and Bandula Malligoda from the media division.
“Those two innocent old men are not involved in any kind of wrong activity. Jerome has been trying to get rid of them for years” a top SLC Official told Cricket Age.
Few month ago, Ashley and Jerome had conspired against three lady employees and transfered them without giving any reason.
“As the Competent Authority doesn’t know anything about Cricket, Mr. Ashley and Jerome Jayarathne are using this opportunity big time get rid of those employees, who are not fit in their scheme of things” the SLC official added further.
