Team India’s captain Virat Kohli has put forward a list of demands on behalf of the team to the Committee of Administrators (CoA) in a review meeting which was held recently in Hyderabad. For the next World Cup, which will be hosted by England, Kohli has demanded for a separate reserved rail coach for the Indian team. The Indian captain has also asked the CoA to allow Wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of the cricketers for the full tour.
Here’s how the CoA reacted to Kohli’s demands.
Reserved rail coach: The Vinod Rai-led panel is of the view that the demand can be met only if the security aspects fall into place, in the absence of which it would be a clear cut no.
Wags for full World Cup: CoA responded to this demand by saying that it will be considered only if all the members of India’s World Cup squad want their wives and girlfriends to be with them for the entire tournament.
