The Indian limited overs vice-captain was one of the many who paid tribute to the Shah Rukh Khan starred on Tuesday, which marked the 25th anniversary of the film’s release.
Shah Rukh Khan had tweeted a video of himself celebrating the occasion and Rohit retweeted him with the comment, “One of my top movies, no questions!! @iamsrk”
The Bollywood star responded by saying that he will perform a hit song from the movie for Rohit in the next IPL. Shah Rukh is a co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders and Rohit Sharma, who also captains the Mumbai Indians said that he would like to see that at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. “@iamsrk I’m going to hold you to that. and at Eden Gardens so I can add that to my list of memories there”
Rohit most recently led India to a 3-0 T20 series win against West Indies before which he played a major role in his side’s win in the ODI series. He also led the team to victory in the Asia Cup.
