New Zealand have been boosted with the news that captain Kane Williamson has been declared fit for the first Test against Pakistan.
Williamson was unavailable for the final ODI in Dubai due to a minor groin stain. His absence did not prove to be damaging for his side as the match was abandoned due to rain.
The Black Caps will be delighted to have their skipper available, particularly with the difficult challenge that awaits them when they begin the three-match series on Friday.
