Recently, Steve Smith and David Warner were seen facing the Aussie pacers in the nets ahead of the Test series against India and now, a video has surfaced where Smith can be seen having breakfast along with Australia’s head coach Justin Langer at a restaurant. The two can be seen discussing cricket with Langer giving some tips to Smith. “We will see how we go. I am doing everything I can and let us see how we go,” Smith told 7 News Sydney.
The duo of Smith and Warner was banned by Cricket Australia (CA) for a period of one year each for their involvement in the ball-tampering that took place during the third Test of the series against South Africa. Along with captain and vice-captain, Cameron Bancroft was also banned for a period of nine months.
There were hopes that the ban on the trio might be lifted but last week, CA confirmed that Smith, Warner and Bancroft will have to serve their full ban periods. The recent events, though, have suggested that Smith and Warner will be rushed into the side as soon as their ban periods will end.
