Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman won’t be a part of the upcoming IPL auction after the refusal of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to grant him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the tournament.
The BCB has denied the bowler permission to participate in foreign T20 leagues keeping in mind his fitness for the 2019 World Cup. Mustafziur has been informed by the board that he’ll be kept away from T20 leagues for a period of two years.
He played a key role In Sunrisers Hyderabad’s title-winning campaign in 2016, bagging 17 wickets in 16 matches. However, he played only one match in 2017 owing to an injury. In 2018, he missed a large part of the tournament after he suffered a hairline fracture while playing for Mumbai Indians. The franchise decided to release him for the auction, along with nine other players.
