Indian All-rounder Hardik Pandya and top order batsman KL Rahul faced flak on social media for their sexist and misogynistic comments on Karan Johar’s talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’. Recently, reacting to the controversy, ace filmmaker Johar finally opened up and stated that he feels very responsible because it was his show and his platform.
He further stated that he invited them just as guests and so the controversy that took place is his responsibility too. Speaking further, he revealed that he has been having sleepless nights, wondering how he can undo the damage, as it has gone beyond a zone that is beyond his control.
After the episode aired, the Indian all-rounders faced major flak on social media after for bragging about their ‘hookups’ with several women. Despite an apology, the two cricketers were recalled from the Australia tour and charged with misconduct and indiscipline. A committee of administrators (COA) has now asked the Supreme Court to appoint an ombudsman to investigate the case.
