Former India captain Rahul Dravid has said he is happy that Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s suspensions over their controversial remarks on Koffee With Karan is lifted and that it’s time to move on. Dravid, who had coached both Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul at some stages in their careers, pointed out that the two cricketers have already suffered a lot, “publicly” and stressed the importance of not overreacting to such situations.

Dravid’s comments come after Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s suspensions were provisionally lifted on Thursday pending the appointment of an ombudsman for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s international careers were thrown in limbo after the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) were unable to decide on the quantum of punishment. Pandya and Rahul were sent back home from Australia wherein the duo missed a three-match ODI series. They were initially expected to miss the whole of the ongoing five-match ODI series in New Zealand but the BCCI had lifted their suspensions after the first ODI in Napier.

Pandya left for New Zealand on Friday to join Team India, who are currently featuring in the second ODI of the series in Mount Maunganui.
