Sri Lanka’s fast bowling spearhead Suranga Lakmal is doubtful for the second Test with a stiff back. The second test to be played at Canberra from 1, January, as Australia leads the series 1-0.
“We are monitoring his (Lakmal) situation. No decision yet whether he will be available or not” said captain Dinesh Chandimal.
If Lakmal will be ruled out, fast bowler Chamika Karunaratne, who only arrived in Australia yesterday, is most likely to debut.
Sri Lanka has already depleted in the fast bowling department. Young pace bowlers Lahiru Kumara and Dushmantha Chameera have already ruled out with respective injuries.
